I was forced into a career change and didn’t know what I was going to do. My wife is a stay at home mom with our little girl, the house all the bills and suddenly I didn’t have a job. First I had to find out what internet marketing or affiliate marketing was. What I found is that affiliate marketing is when one markets a product for a company on the internet, when a sale is made you get a commission. At first it sounded too hard, a long shot. I have never been a commission guy, I like a steady income. I did my research and then I started doing the math. There are tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of companies that have affiliate marketing plans. There are billions of people online everyday and many of them, maybe even more than 50% of them buy things on the internet. Then the answer was clear, people ARE making money internet marketing. OK so that’s great, my next question was how do I do it? What do I need to learn for internet marketing? What are the strategies that will get me started making money internet marketing?
Back to the old research… There are alot of different websites, programs, books and so on out there that claimed to show me affiliate marketing techniques. I am an interactive learner – meaning I do best when I have someone to teach me, to answer my questions, to give me a shove when I get stuck; so I kept looking.
