A Sure-Fire Way to Increase Page Rank

Marketing your site, to get free traffic, is often more challenging than creating it, but it’s at least as vital. If you don’t spend the time and energy to market your site correctly you won’t acquire anybody to see it, and if nobody visites your site then you can’t make any money. Therefore marketing is an absolute necessity.

But marketing can seem incredibly intimidating, there are dozens of websites out there that pledge this and pledge that, but you can’t really tell what you’re getting until you send them your hard-earned money. I don’t like this methodology to marketing, more often than not they are just retelling the same information that’s already all over the internet and all you do is waste your cash. Therefore be suspicious of what you pay for.

Then what should you do? Well, there are many ways to do this, from on-site SEO (Search Engine Optimization) where you optimize the text, keywords, title, etc… to various off-site SEO techniques. Off-site SEO is making your site visible on other websites, getting excellent inbound, mainly one-way, links to improve your rankings and more. Here I will discuss just one of those methods of off-site marketing, a technique of getting backlinks to your site.

Everybody is in agreement that the more backlinks you have to your site the higher up the search engines it will go, the search engines such as Google perceive these backlinks as a symbol that your website is trusted by them (linking to blackhat sites, link farms or other ‘spam’ sites will harm your ranking as a result people make sure they don’t do that). Therefore that brings us to the matter of how to acquire these one way links.

One technique to get backlinks is by means of spam software, this software will spam plain comments to every blog it can locate on the internet and place a one way link to your website. This is an awful way to accomplish your marketing and if you run a blog you may find yourself at the receiving end of hundreds of spam comments from software of this nature. Don’t do it.

Another technique, and this is a respectable one, is called article marketing, which many of you have probably heard of. The most simple article marketing is where you compose an article and place it in an article directory, the process of article submission, with your link somewhere in the text or in the author’s box (this is dependant on on the directory). This works but is really unproductive.

A better manner to do this is by using a service that will either place your articles on dozens of directory websites or to place them on a network of blogs that need free content. And of course when your article is put on any of these sites you get one way links back to your site. To keep away from duplicate content issues you do what’s called spinning it first, this means that you compose it in such a manner that their software can generate hundreds of exclusive versions of the same text.
